Main Duties and responsibilities:
The post holder should have experience across a broad range of radiology and will be expected to undertake the following duties:
Be part of general radiology service of high quality. Experience in plain film reporting and Cross sectional imaging is essential.
Experience with image-guided biopsies is required.
Contribute to the development of the general imaging service to support the trust in ensuring provision of high quality diagnostic support throughout the week including sessions in ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging
To undertake speciality interests in agreement with the Clinical Lead Radiologist.
Work flexibly with colleagues to support the timely management of emergencies and in-patients.
Undertake an appropriate share of the on-call rota for urgent imaging.
Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical meetings (MDT).
Person Specification
MBBS or equivalent,
FRCR or equivalent.
Full GMC/Specialist registration with a Licence to Practise (or be eligible for full GMC registration)
Evidence of appropriate training in all imaging modalities.
Experience in routine general intervention procedures is essential.
Ability to organise and manage clinical priorities
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a wide range of modalities
Ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams
Leadership and Management skills
Excellent communication skills
