The successful candidates will be required to work across a number of trust sites
The holder of this post will be a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialist interest, together with general radiology sessions.
The post-holder will participate in the diagnostic on-call rota. This currently operates at a frequency of 1:12
The holder will participate in audit and directorate meetings and undertake administrative duties as required
An interest in research and teaching is expected with participation in projects, courses, etc. to enhance the standing and role of the Department and Trust.
The post-holder is managerially accountable to the Clinical Director and professionally accountable to the Medical Director
Person Specification
MBchB or equivalent
FRCR or equivalent
Member of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent
Full registration with the GMC
Registered on the GMC Specialist Register or be eligible for relevant CCT or equivalent within 6 months of interview
Evidence of completing a period of approved training in diagnostic radiology
Ability to offer expert opinion on a range of problems and take independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff
Teaching and training medical students
Experience of clinical audit
Experience of clinical research
Communication skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Organizational skills
